I don’t take anything other than daily aspirin and heartburn meds. I do know of people who take Xanax when required to do things like public speaking, flying, etc. I know 2 guys at work that only do public speaking 2-3 times a year and it takes the edge off. My mom took them when she use to drive in Houston to visit my daughter. My daughter (no pics) now comes more often to see her grandmother after I fussed at her and my mom no longer makes the drive there. It can be used for good and help people, and be used for awful and be addictive. I was once on them bad but fortunately it wasn’t every single day and when I got off I was good. I was taking them 3-4 nights a week to help me sleep and ease hangovers
