I would fund a float in a krewe, and pay for the costumes and throws, and have hotels and travel paid for so all of my close friends and relatives can come and experience it together.

I would make a substantial gift to my grown kids, not life-changing, but enough to make them comfortable if they are smart about it. I'd set up individual trusts for my grandkids, as well as set up and fund a retirement plan for each grandkid and a 529 plan for college for each grandchild as well. In addition, I would start a trust fund to set up a 529 for college expenses for any future grandkids, and great grandkids, as well as fund a retirement plan.

I'd also establish a charitable foundation for investing in promising Alzheimer's research and name it after my father to honor him.

I'd also make a substantial TAF donation.

The rest would be for my wife and I to retire on and travel.
