I'll be in San Marcos. if it rains, oh well. Never been to the area before. Without actually seeing the eclipse, the effects are nonetheless impressive. The darkness is about the same as just after sunset. The mosquitos and night birds come out. It is really interesting to see the natural world react to the event.

My gf lives in San Marcos. It’s a great little town. I’ll be there to watch it with her, regardless of weather.
