I'm shopping for a new truck right now and using the Carmax, Autotrader, etc apps and the very first box I'm checking is for the manual transmissions. It's sad how few cars/trucks on there have it.
Eta: as of this morning, 5372 automatics, 72 manuals.

When I was younger, I usually bought manuals because they were cheaper. It was what I grew up driving, so they didn't bother me. It seems like they are just about extinct other than in sports cars and Jeeps.
