He was actually making around 500k a year, Idk why you bothered to make this post if you weren't even gonna look that up.
Supposedly making about 85K last year.

The Dodgers knew this when signing Ohtani and hiring Mizuhara and were apparently OK enough with it to reportedly increase Mizuhara's salary from $85,000 to mid-six figures. The team probably saw that as the cost of doing business with Ohtani, but it ended up being much costlier.
Dave Roberts happy there's no longer a 'buffer' between Shohei Ohtani and Dodgers after Ippei Mizuhara firing

The story smells. I’m not saying he bet on baseball or even that he bet himself, but there’s no way 4.5 million was wired out of his account without him or one of his financial people knowing about it and or okaying it. No way.

And there’s also no way a bookie is extending a 4.5 million line of credit unless he know it’s good.

If there are still any investigative journalists left, seems there’s a story of a lifetime to be had here. And I don’t know what the story is, but it’s not the one Othani and his camp are now selling.
