re: Do you know anyone that actually got in trouble for skipping jury-duty summons?

I got one from federal court on Poydras, about seven years ago, and the notice said it would be a 5 to 6 week racketeering criminal trial involving 20 defendants.

I called the clerk and said there is no way I can do this, and they granted me an exception because I was a sole business owner.
