Backup qb should be very low on the list of priorities for a rebuilding team which is where this team is at this point. If you have to go to the backup, you want an Ian Book type who can't mess around and win a game for you

Great point but the Messiah is injury prone. What are you going to do when he blows out his shoulder in week3 ?
