It's been going on for a while. In 2019 my excavator caught on fire while clearing a lot in a small neighborhood. After attempting to put out the fire I called the fire department and stood back as it became engulfed in flames. As I'm standing there watching it burn, trying to catch my breath from all the running around several neighborhood residents walked up and began filming with their phones. I think it was 5 or 6 people and as the fire burned out they all simultaneously turned to go back to their houses. Not one person tried to help me or even asked if I was ok or if I could use some water as I stood just a few feet away. I was really speechless that we have become such a disconnected society when it comes to social interaction.
