I’m over the collect and serve mentality. There’s no shortage of them hunting you down to give you a ticket but when you actually need something they’re always an hour away. frick em.

Police have never - NEVER - held the role of intervener or immediate handler of dire situations. Even now in the world of active shooters they are still late, untrained, and cowardly. That responsibility falls squarely on you and your choice to use 2A or not.
