I used to drink a 12 pack of bud light every night like it was nothing. Thankfully I quit drinking 3-4 years ago and can’t imagine tasting a drop of alcohol these days. Very glad I got over that dumb addition

How much weight did you lose when you quit?

I am 51. I drank almost every day from my late 20s until 2017. I tried to stop for 2 decades. The last few years I drank from sunup to sundown. I drank everything but mainly I drank wine. In the end I had alcohol induced hepatitis and my liver was not good but just short of cirrhosis. Once scarring occurs the damage is done. However the liver is a very resilient organ. I was lucky and I suspect if I’d have drank more bourbon I’d have done irreparable damage. That said a fifth a day is not shocking for some. I’ve seen some worse.
