Are PI attorney advertisements ethical?
Can these firms demonstrate their clients receive significantly better monetary settlements vs insurance company offers?
Has the Louisiana Bar ever conducted a survey of total PI legal advertising expenditures in the State?
There are legitimate reasons to use PI legal services, but it seems
logical to assume the massive amount of advertising results in avoidable insurance costs passed along to all of us.
There’s a reason our State is perennially near or at the top of auto insurance premiums. IMO this is significantly one of them.
It must be extraordinarily profitable for the law firms involved.
Remember when tort “reform” legislation was passed as a way to lower our premiums?
I remember, an abject and dismal failure.
