I know that in some areas there are Youth Hunter Education Challenge teams around the state of Louisiana. I know Terrebonne has a large group. Some times they will host meets at local rifle ranges for different activities like shooting clays, archery, wildlife identification, trailing, etc.
It is not just a boys activity, girls are out there too.
