Feel the same way about fights in baseball. Pitcher wants to drill a batter, be prepared if he rushes the mound. Catcher wants to block the plate and a fight starts, let them finish it. No need for both dugouts to clear and end up a pile of people pulling and shoving. Let them finish and toss them both out afterwards. At least hockey gets it right.
