This is an argument that is a road to nowhere. The Barbour is one of the types of jackets that can actually last a lifetime and never go out of style with proper care. They look good casually in the outdoors or can be worn in a Wall Street office.

It’s similar to my mechanical watches, particularly Rolex and Omega. They also will require servicing. If someone thinks mechanical watches are stupid, then it’s not worth wasting breath to explain.

Same can be said for firearms, luggage, ski equipment, etc.
