No division 1 coach will change his pitching rotation based on one game this early in the season. Especially when it all started for Hurd with a walk (crappy call on a 2/2 pitch) that should have been a SO and then a balk. I think that was his first runner. No way Jose.

I think JJ thought Hurd would start how he played in Omaha (dominant outings), and I don't blame him for giving him the nod for the Friday start.
