I was drinking two-three glasses of wine per evening. Id wake up feeling like shite even though I wasnt getting drunk. Got a blood test last week and my liver count was elevated and my kidney function was a little off. Once I heard that, I told myself - no more. I didnt get the withdrawal symptons (lucky me), So I tossed the bottle of wine in my fridge and havent drank since. Ive been drinking a lot of water since to help flush my kidneys and it seems to be working. Some folks dont realize that alcohol really effects the kidneys and causes dehydration.
Already feeling better, sleeping better, not groggy in the morning, clearer thinking. I wasnt an alcoholic but even only after a week I feel so much better. It was worth it. No plans to start drinking again. Its just not worth the bad health effects.
