You are absolutely correct. I do believe we could and should mix it up more. We just don’t have the talent on either ends of the floor. Yet. It’s quite evident that Coach put an emphasis on length which has helped. McMahon’s teams, while flawed and extremely lacking in talent show an understanding of very simple defensive principles. Weak side and help defense being paramount. It’s refreshing to see because our previous regime certainly didn’t. I remember listening to Tari talk being asked why the defense in the private 5th year seems to show some improvements. Tari said he actually had to teach his staff on help defense.
