Vet told me the same thing last week. Estimate is close to $1000. Not sure if legit either.

Shop around.

Local vet was going to charge me $600 for two dogs. Found one in a small town, charged me $250 for both dogs

Cleanings are good. You just don’t wanna be putting a dawg under anesthesia every few months to do it. Every couple years is ok.


But 1,000 bucks?!? That is the scam. Absolutely not for 1000 bucks.
