Would love to see it be successful. I wish some of the bigger musicals would go the Hamilton route and release some of their early tapings on Broadway with the original cast. Idina and Kristen were so good in these parts.

Same, but they can't really tell the story on film without showing the fantastical land of Oz. I'm curious if some of the scenes in the trailer are from the second film, mainly because they show Dorothy and her gang, who don't appear until Act 2 of the show.
That said, I have high hopes because they cast actors who can sing (Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey) and a singer who can hopefully act in Ariana Grande. I don't know if Jeff Goldblum or Michelle Yeoh can carry a tune, but their characters sing very little during the show, so they should be fine.
