The food argument doesn’t hold up anymore. Close to 50% of the corn crop goes to ethanol. Big part of the bean crop goes to fuel. Huge oversupply of animal protein, lots gets exported. Table produce is a specialty business, lots already from Mexico. We’d be just fine food wise if 50% of farmers stopped (especially Midwest mono culture).
