He was annoying AF until then.
He condescends to the Colonials and the local tribes.
He’s an arrogant jerk who leads his regimen right into a trap.
He lied about Cameron’s cabin. Then tries to tell Cora it wasn’t a big deal.
They’re kayaking to get away from Magua, points a gun at Hawkeye and bitches about seeing him hanged.
He accuses Hawkeye of being a coward when he has to flee the waterfall.
The only reason he sacrifices himself is because he knows he can’t have Cora.
