A collection agency dinged my credit report on behalf of AT&T last year for a phone that wasn’t paid for. Had my name and used a different address. I disputed with the credit agency and they said it was legitimate.
I called AT&T and they have their own fraud department and they cleared it. Check with Sprint in case your credit agency doesn’t come through.

I don't think Sprint is even a thing now.
