Yes and no.
Example, I don’t lie but when I was a recruiter I’d get the occasional recruiters lie blah blah. My response to that and any applicant was to search the internet. This correlates because those who lie get caught because people have access to information.
Yes there’s tons of mis/disinformation but before this age of technology people had little resources to challenge most things.
The internet and cellphones these days makes politics more ubiquitous along with the ability for debate and discussion.
