Do you want the coaches who are believed to be the best in the business or not? Because if you want the best, yes you absolutely are going to have to pay for them. Some of you foolishly believe we can have it both ways. It's simply not the case.

Honest question, is Blake Baker considered the best defensive coordinator in the country? I haven’t seen him at the top of any list.
And we just let the offensive coordinator of the #1 offense in the country walk because Notre Dame bid more than we were willing to pay. So the OC earned the right to be the highest paid, and we balked. But we are bringing in a new DC and paying him on what we hope he can be.
