Frick whoever is in charge of those kickoff times though. The Rose was perfect for its time slot. The Sugar Bowl should have kicked off at noon central. The NFL gets great ratings in the exact same time slot. That also ensures there isn't a playoff game that ends at 12:02 A.M. Central time. My buddy in North Carolina stayed up as late as he could but halfway through the 3rd quarter he passed out. The game ended there at 1:02 in the morning. That's obsurd. College football is screwing up enough things as it is. Quit making it harder for your viewers to enjoy your product, or at least what's left of it.

I agree with everything in your post. There is no excuse for a game to kick off that late in the evening on a weekday. I didn't even have to get up for work the next morning and even I passed out around midnight. Going forward, have one semi-final game kick off at 1:00 eastern and the second semi-final game kick off at 5:30 eastern. That way you have plenty of time to end the first match up and start the pre-game hype of the second match up.

It also all but assures the last game ending around 9:30 eastern at the latest.
