It started with Michael Vick and has now progressed to the point where athletes playing QB are drafted in the 1st round over pocket passing QBs now because that is how much the game has changed. Athletic QBs are hard to stop because they can run so well out in space, once the play falls apart they can use their legs to make a big play. Lamar Jackson is the MVP this season, ans I don't see it cahnging anytime soon.
This is the state of football now. Many of these QBs do not know how to play QB. They are two checks and run athletes. They get to the NFL, which is full of elite athletes, and do not have the skills to play the game.
