Which is so hard to believe given that his running ability and injury resilience will only continue to decline into the second contract. The only thing fields has ever really done that could be considered special is run (and usually in garbage time).

Growing up in Chicago and being old enough to have vague memories of Chicago QB’s being horrible way back in the Jim McMahon era, a few things are certain:

1) If the Bears trade the pick and keep Fields, bet the house on Caleb for ROY, and if you can parlay it with Fields shattering his ankle on a freak play in the pocket in week 2 go ahead and play that too.

2) If the Bears keep the pick and trade Fields, consider putting at least $50k on Fields for MVP next year.
