I really had high hopes we'd see at worst a steady dose of Diggs and, at best, a preview of what Kaleb Jackson would look like getting 10-15 carries. Instead we get 18/25 carries by Josh Williams and Noah Cain. I love Josh Williams' effort and what he means to the team, so I'm not too surprised/upset about him getting half the looks, but Cain being the primary backup was nonsensical to me.
Diggs got dinged early and never came back in.
As for Cain, I’m pretty sure this was his last collegiate game. And he ran hard when he got the ball. He came to LSU when we really needed players and I think those carries were to reward him for his service, even if it was just as a depth guy this season.
