…names in a ring of honor…

Unless something has changed, as far as I know, there are only two names on the stadium. They’re iconic players but from 53 and 65 years ago respectively. I can think of a couple of players of more recent vintage (certainly within the last half-century) whose names could be up there. I’m sure LSU has made a conscious effort to limit the number of former players so honored and by the rarity of the recognition thereby enhance it’s significance, but there are a few names that could go up now. A couple from the last 25 years for sure.

The big time award winners should be up there imo.

J Reed
Lavalais
Dorsey
Peterson
Mathieu
D White
Burrow
Chase
Delpit
Daniels

Would put Faulk up there even though he wasn’t an award winner. He was 1st team AA and given the status of the program and his recruiting stature when he committed I think he’s worthy.

Charles Alexander, 1st team AA and Heisman finalist.

JaMarcus won the Manning Award, not sure that qualifies as one of the majors though. I’d be fine with it, but I doubt many others would.

Whitworth’s success in the NFL combined with the 03 title and his four year dominance in BR should put him in contention. Mawae as well but 03 puts Whit above him imo.
