Ok, I've put some more thought into this so here we go.
For a non-automatic under $100, the CJRB Ekko, with titanium bolsters. AR RPM9 is a good steel at that price range. I have one w carbon fiber handles. Easy to keep razor sharp w just stropping. Several methods to deploy the blade. Locks up tight.
Automatic under $200, the Kershaw Launch 18. A little smaller. USA made w aluminum handles and CPM 154 steel. Gets very solid reviews. Will be my next purchase.
USA made under $200, Spyderco Para 3. This one has S45VN steel, which is bad arse. I have one with a lesser steel. Great knife.
Simple US made flipper, Buck Sprint Pro in s30v. I like this one for under $200. I have the Legacy version and carry it regularly. Good looking knife.
Sorry for geeking out. Let me know what else you way want to know about.
