That’s true and the AF would be a good choice, but if he wants to be a medic, he would need to do Pararescue. Basically SF medics.

Air Force does live a better life than all the other branches. I remember when I enlisted in the Army. They took us all to Montgomery, AL for MEPS at Maxwell AF Base. Don’t matter what branch you joined, if you were from Alabama, that’s where you went for your physical, processing, and enlistment ceremony. While there they took us to the chow hall at Maxwell for noon chow. Holy shite was it nice! Imagine Golden Corral but the food is good, the staff is professional, and it’s actually clean and well kept. I remember thinking if this is how they feed you in the military, I’m going to like this.
Then they sent me to Fort Knox…
