Dude, you went 30 minutes and abandoned it because you didn't see the connection. It's 8 episodes long. Each episode is a riff of an Edgar Allen Poe short story, but the series as a whole relates to Usher. Each episode is about Roderick telling the story, but elements of Usher are in each episode which, i assume, culminates at the end. I have watched 5 episodes now and each episode progresses the main story (Usher) whilst diving into each short story.
