Oh no. Not when you get a full sky display. Its surreal, and vivid.


Some friends did an Iceland to Norway cruise this past January to see the aurora borealis. They were very disappointed - someone on the ship told them to take pictures with their iPhones saying the lights show up better on a digital image.

Some nights it aint there, some nights its weak, some its strong.

Its the luck of the draw, but there are Aurora forecast pages you can watch to see if Activity is promising.

You can take a long exposure with a camera and get more of the Aurora, particularly when its hard to see due to light pollution.
