I live in a large metropolitan area with options and already pay $2800 a month for daycare so this won't personally matter to me. However, I do care about people who don't live in large metros and who don't have the same amount of disposable income.

In Texas, your already have a choice. You can elect to send your children to private, charter or home schools. At your expense of course.
What Senate Bill 1 does is pay public funds to private entities without the same oversight or outcome requirements.
