Regardless of whatever you "feel" is the case with the traffic lights, they're definitely not synchronized. Just ride US61 northbound from LA73 to US190 anytime from 4PM on. Your "feelings" will change.
And the traffic in Central is a dumpster fire struck by a train wreck. There is not enough pavement to alleviate the bullshite there. And apparently the right slimy entities haven't been paid off enough for the 15+ year old planned/recommended infrastructure improvements there (Hooper, Sullivan, & Hooper bridge to LP) to be started and/or completed.
But we have blinking yellow arrows. And a N Sherwood extension to Joor, north of Greenwell Springs.

The Sullivan widening project should have led to multiple people being fired.
