I have a second home that has a propane range oven that looks cheap but it works. The trouble is it heats up the kitchen a lot while using.

I can't find anything discussing the insulation in slide ins. Do you think new ones would be better insulated and less likely to heat up the kitchen so much???

Had anyone ever dealt with this?

What is in your primary home? Does it not heat up the area as well? I have a 30 inch gas range that heats mine kitchen up considerably.

I believe gas ovens naturally heat up the kitchen more simply due to their design.

My parents have one, and it heats up their kitchen a lot, too.
