Going to have to break it open to see a fresh surface in order to correctly identify. Most likely a chert of some kind.

First thing you learn in geology 101… you never identify a rock from a picture…
My 101 prof tore us a new one when he held up a picture in class and asked us what it was..
Gotta touch it.. smell it.. taste it and get some grit in your teeth… btw he was a jerk.
I sucked at geology but somehow made part of a career out of it …
