I will be attending the LSU-ARK game and this will be my first game at Tiger stadium. What are the best spots to join a tailgate and to purchase LSU gear. I will be arriving in Baton Rouge on Thursday and staying through till Sunday evening. Any and all recommendations are appreciated looking to have a GRAND OF A TIGER TIME!!

Tailgates are all over campus, some of the coolest ones to see are down South Stadium drive. Also good to check the schedule of events for game day and see the team and band come down the hill a few hours before the game. Try to get into the game at least 40 min before kick, the pre-game is worth seeing. You can get Tiger gear just about everywhere, from Walmart for basic t-shirt to Perlis for high end polos. Bengal and Bandit is my favorite for unique t-shirts, and it’s right across from the Chimes which has great food and has been an iconic LSU place for years. Also the LSU bookstore and Sports shop (right by Mike) have large selections, as well as Alumni Hall and Rally House looks the same but I haven’t been in yet. For women almost all of the boutiques have GameDay wear. Safe travels and hope you have an awesome visit!

AWESOME!! Thank you for all the details. We definitely have plans to visit Mike, catch the walk and see the pre-game! Super excited!

If you’re not setting up a tailgate, don’t over plan and be prepared to go with the flow. LSU fans are inviting and as friendly as they come.
