Nice job, there is an issue with the SAM for LSU, it’s out of place and no backups

Yes, I placed the SAM beneath the NICKEL position because the NICKEL usually comes off the field when the 4th LB comes onto the field. In such a case, Gregg Penn will enter the game as the MIKE, and Omar Speights will bump out to the SAM, where Harold Perkins played last year. Often the SAM will have to slide out to the NICKEL position cover a Slot WR or an off-the-line TE. That's when we hear the position referred to as a "NICKEL-SAM." Anyway, that's my reasoning. That and the fact that LSU would only list 2 LB spots (besides JACK) on their Depth Charts last season, and I am trying to emulate what they produced.

I think that's spot on for lsu for the most part
maybe some backups can be switched around but starters appear to be what Kelly and media have said throughout camp and adjusted up until game week

I think it's because we wouldn't have a Sam and Nickel on the field at the same time. If we had three LBs on the field it'd be Speights, Perkins, and Penn.
