I don't think they are trying to cap the amount of $$$ of NIL deals. More so make sure they are legit. A lot of these "NIL" deals are really just pay for play deals.
NIL should be for players who have actually played in some games IMO. They are giving more NIL deals to recruits then players. The recruits are nobodies and have no name image likeness dollars yet (unless big influencers on social media). NIL was meant for guys that had planned and were making their football teams more profitable by being good.
