Alabama became a better academic institution due to Saban. THat's a fact. The university brand became much stronger and the applicant pool blew up. Additionally, more alums donated to not just sports, but both sides as alum pride soared.

The ROI of a strong brand and athletic success on the academic side is there. Just have to push for it.
