LSU can have all the academic success it wants but the state economy holds it back in my opinion. Young college grads don’t want to stay in BR nor do they want to move to Lafayette or Shreveport. Nola is the only true “major city” in the state, and it’s a cess pool. It’s the same for Ole miss and Miss State. Bama is starting to grow but most just go to ATL.
Uga and UF have that upper hand in the SEC with major cities to go to. This makes it easier finding jobs being close to alumni employers.
