He would be returning to his coaching roots if NWLA.

He played there with Bobby Hebert and got his coaching start as a graduate assistant there before becoming a journeyman football coach at various universities and professional teams only staying for a few years at each location before getting fired or let go because of a head coaching change.

He was the Dr. Sam Beckett of football leaping from team to team eventually leaping back home at LSU for a few seasons.

When he was a Miami assistant he came to the NSU-ULM (then NLU) game on a bye week. He saw my buddy in line at the concession stand wearing an NLU sweater and wanted to fight him.
