Um it was Memorial Day. The only day they come here by the thousands. We locals joke about it and head for our rivers and lakes and fish camps. Its a unbelievable cash haul for the entire area and we all know that. They have the beach for the weekend and other than that have never been a problem. We just stay away from P beach for those three days. Sorry someone didn't google Memorial Day Pcola beach but this has been going on long before Ron was Gov.

This...it's one weekend out of the year that started 30 years ago as a small thing and then grew into a much bigger deal. At first it was very controversial because Pensacola, and the immediate area, is a major military town, and doing such an event on Memorial Day pissed a bunch of people off. But as time passed, people learned that gheys spend a truckload of money, and that is why it never got nixxed.

Makes sense. No family to worry about, and you don't have to save for retirement. You'll die of AIDS or overdose begore getting there
