Buying Tickets In Omaha

I just graduated from LSU last month. My dad and I are thinking about making the 15 hour drive to Omaha for the first time. I’m wondering, how easy is it to buy tickets right outside of the stadium before a game? Also, any tips on a place to stay that would be cheap? Trying not to totally break the bank.
