re: How much money is leftover to spend per day on yourself after all your bills are paid?

Not counting retirement city of L.A., 401k, wives 401k, savings from 1978 which put $20 week in now worth a decent amount, savings from selling my business. We put that money away and don’t touch it.

Kids out of the house.
1 house paid off
1 camp paid off really a house
2 boats paid off
2 vehicles paid off.

After utilities,
vehicle expenses includes gas, insurance
-vehicles, house, boats, life, medical, Long term care, still have annuities.
property taxes,
food,
entertainment eating out movies
cell phone/ internet
$25 gym member wife and I.
misc reoccurring bills
Water, trash, gas, electric

$18,333 per month after bills on what we bring in now just working.
We do not have a lot of bills, we live modestly, and kids are grown.

Saving to redo
Driveway
Front porch concrete
New roof
Fiber cement siding
Paint
New windows
Looking at $50k and take us 4 months to save for it.


Wife been at her job along time plus city of L.A. retirement don’t touch.
I sold my business, and training a young guy to be a diesel tech.
Once I finish this I probably fully retire.
