A lot of winning in this thread. Even Warren Buffet drives a used Buick.
If you’re a car guy or will actually get a lot of use out of your SUV/truck, then spending a fair amount on your vehicle starts to make sense.

I only drive my truck around town and fill up every couple of weeks. I go to the airport once a week but that’s the longest trip.
If I have to start commuting, I’d seriously look at a stripped down Jetta or Camry. Maybe even one of those hybrid Corollas if their used prices come down by then.
