re: St. Paul's alum - Brother Ray has passed away

I had Brother Ray for English Media at De La Salle back in the mid '70s. We had to do a media project in the class that was a big percentage of our final grade. I won't bore you with the details, but I thought up an idea for it and after plenty trips to the library and a lot of trial and error with the visual part, I gave the presentation to the class and afterward he praised my idea and execution of it and gave me an A.

Fast forward 30 years and I saw him standing at the bar in Mandina's while waiting for a table. And he remembered my last name and admitted that he couldn't recall my first name. And he remembered the media project I had done 30 years previous and mentioned that I did a great job on that project.

RIP Brother Ray.
