I truly think this boycott has legs. For two reasons:

1) people are really, really, really tired of this bullshite

2) switching beer is a low effort life change. This isn’t like an automaker pissing off the owners of their vehicles or even your favorite / go-to clothing company doing this

Also the vast majority of their customers don't support stuff like this. This is like Smith and Wesson coming out against hunting

And the hardest part in brand-loyal situations is just getting someone to *try* a different brand.

ETA
JFC- that commercial couldn't be more pandering than if South Park did it as a spoof.

Incomplete list of murica in said ad:

1)Grand Canyon with Clydesdale on back 2.

2) farmland during golden hour

3) father son beer moment on front porch

3) Lincoln Memorial

4) Brooklyn? Bridge with Clydesdale

5) fire house social

6) Clydesdale running on beach

7) st Louis arch

8) nostalgic budweiser brewery

9) mainstreet America (w/ Clydesdale)

10) raising American flag

11) double minority with hand over heart during #10.

12) ?

What did I miss?

This has legs because the butthurt are the customer base.

Simply put Nike can piss off every white dude over 30 if they wish, that isn't their core customer base, Inbev on the other hand is about to learn a basic economic lesson the hard way and may not survive, it is hard to service roughly 85 billion in debt if you aint selling beer.

Be careful what you wish for because the blue collar Inbev guys will be paying for this and the brave hero VP will move on to a raise and promotion elsewhere in ESG land.
