Fairview Texas did this. They have lot size minimums and dont allow apartments. Consequently, its probably the nicest of the suburbs in North Texas.

A big problem is when they make exceptions. Then you have the local populace just shrug it off with "it is what it is" and they keep doing it again and again and again.
